Public academic and research events in 2013



In 2013, the Institute of Pedagogy of the NAPS of Ukraine was the organizer and the co-organizer of 67 academic and research events at different levels.

During these events, the discussed subjects were the following: the development of the school education and pedagogy in Ukraine in the common cultural and historical context, the modern pedagogical approaches to the guarantee of the school education quality in foreign countries, the theoretical and methodological basis for the fundamentalizing of teaching at the secondary school, the didactic conditions for the implementation of the innovative technologies and education means, the development of the educational programs and textbook for the profession-oriented education, the theoretical specification of the scientific fundamentals of the modern teaching technologies at the comprehensive school, the approaches to the selection of the content, forms, methods of teaching, modeling the educative process, didactic fundamentals of the competence-oriented and the personality-oriented teaching, the issue of the innovative development assessment at the secondary educational institution, the mechanisms of the management of the work of the comprehensive secondary institutions as well as the methods of their effective implementation, the organizational and pedagogical fundamentals of the development of the rural comprehensive educational institutions, the scientific and theoretical fundamentals of the secondary education quality assessment. Among them there was the report research and training conference that covered the research results of the staff, Ph.D. students, aspirants of the Institute of Pedagogy of the NAPS of Ukraine during which 8 sections were working; more than 200 scientists, Doctorate students, Ph.D. students, aspirants, teachers of experimental schools took part in it.

The scientists of the Institute took an active part in the public events that were organized by other institutions at different levels. They are the international, the all-Ukrainian conferences, forums, symposiums, pedagogical readings, seminars, round-table discussions, exhibitions.

The general quantity of the events in which the Institute staff took part is 362, 99 of them were international events. Almost 55% include the conferences – 200. Almost 22% were academic seminars (81). All other events were round-table discussions (26), exhibitions (12), synods, congresses (7), symposiums, forums (5), pedagogical readings (7), other kinds of events (24), (see pic. 1).

Events in which the researchers of the Institute of Pedagogy of the NAPS of Ukraine took part

In 2013, in correspondence with the working plan of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, the researchers of the Institute of Pedagogy hold 6 events.

The annual conference “Problems of a Modern Textbook” (5-6 December, 2013, Kyiv) waseffective and informative. It covered the issues ofthe implementation of the State standard of the primary comprehensive education in the new textbooks generation, the theory and the methodology of the modern process of creating textbooks, the peculiarities of creating textbooks in the branch of Natural Studies and Mathematics, the peculiarities of the development of the textbook on foreign languages as well as philological and literal education, the topical problems of creating textbooks in social studies, the innovative approaches to creating textbooks in the educational branch Technologies, the usage of the electronic educational resources in the educational establishments as well as a textbook on Physics and Astronomy as a means of the formation of the subject and the key competences.

During the IV International forum Personality in the Integrated Academic Space (in the form of the Internet-forum) (11-26 April, 2013, Zaporizhzhya), the scientific problems of the formation and the development of the academic space and the creative personality were reported and discussed.

At the VI International scientific and practical conference and the XX All-Ukrainian pedagogical readings Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi in the Dialogue with Modernity (27-28 September, 2013, Kirovohrad-Pavlysh), the issues connected to the actualization of the pedagogical inheritance of V. O. Sukhomlynskyi, an outstanding pedagogue, were discussed in the aspect of the search for the effective ways of the formation of the children’s creative abilities under the conditions of modern transformations in education.

At the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference «Informational technologies in education: state, problems, perspectives (16-17 May, 2013, Kherson), the issues of the psychological and pedagogical aspects of the usage of the informational technologies in education, methodology of teaching computer studies at the secondary school, teaching and retraining of the personnel under the conditions of the implementation of the State target-oriented program One hundred per cent, implementation of the computer-oriented teaching systems: the problems of the creation and the implementation of the informational technologies in the governmental activity of the educational institutions.

XII All-Ukrainian historical and pedagogical scientific and practical conference The Source and historiographical basis of the modern historical and pedagogical researches (7-8 November, 2013, Khmelnytskyi) was quite effective. The staff of the Laboratory of History of Pedagogy took part in its work. At this conference, the following issues were discussed: historiography of the research as its methodology, the issue of the representativeness of the sources, the methodology of the formation and the classification of the sources of the historical and pedagogical researches, the collision of the periodization of the historical and pedagogical process as well as its certain phenomena.

In correspondence with the working plan of the NAPS of Ukraine, IV All-Ukrainian scientific and practical seminar Pedagogical comparativistics-2013: transformations in the foreign education and the Ukrainian context (10 July, 2013, Kyiv) was held. During the seminar that was organized by the staff of the Laboratory of Contrastive Pedagogy, the theoretical and methodological as well as practical approaches to the study of the perspective experience of foreign countries in the education sphere as well as the guarantee of their quality for the usage in Ukraine, the support for the development of the community of the Ukrainian pedagogues-comparativists, in particularly, the methodological orientations of the researches in the branch of contrastive pedagogy in the world context, the strategies of the development of the foreign school education, the topical problems of the professional educatin and education of adults in the comparativistic perspective, the foreign experience in the promotion of the gifted schoolchildren and their creative abilities, innovative technologies of goreign education in Ukraine were analyzed and generalized.
